Heavy Truck Driver

The Heavy Truck Driver is responsible for operating heavy-duty trucks to transport goods and materials. They need to ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods while following traffic rules and regulations. The Heavy Truck Driver must also inspect and maintain their vehicles regularly to ensure their roadworthiness.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Drive long distances and make deliveries on schedule.
• Follow traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure safety.
• Report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
• Load and unload goods and materials as required.
• Maintain accurate logs of vehicle usage, mileage, and deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
• Ensure proper handling and secure transportation of goods.

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Proven experience as a Heavy Truck Driver or similar role.
• Clean driving record.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic regulations.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and navigate different road conditions.
• Physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding schedules.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Good time management and problem-solving abilities.
