Heavy Forklift Operator

The Heavy Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy-duty forklifts to transport, stack, and organize materials within warehouses, construction sites, ports, or industrial facilities. This role requires precision, attention to safety regulations, and the ability to handle large and heavy loads. The ideal candidate should have experience operating forklifts with high load capacities and possess a valid forklift operating license.

Responsibilities:

• operate heavy forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials safely

• ensure proper stacking and storage of goods in designated areas

• perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure operational safety

• follow all safety guidelines and company procedures while handling heavy loads

• assist in inventory management by organizing and tracking materials in storage areas

• coordinate with warehouse supervisors and logistics teams to streamline material handling operations

• maneuver forklifts efficiently in confined spaces and high-traffic areas

• report any mechanical issues or damages to the maintenance team for timely repairs

• comply with occupational health and safety regulations to prevent workplace accidents

• participate in training sessions and updates on forklift operations and safety protocols

Requirements:

• valid heavy forklift operating license and certifications

• proven experience operating heavy-duty forklifts in an industrial or logistics setting

• strong knowledge of forklift safety procedures and best practices

• ability to lift and transport heavy materials with precision

• familiarity with warehouse management systems is an advantage

• good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment

• physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions

• willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends if required
