Job Description

As a Healthcare Billing Executive (IP), you will be responsible for handling inpatient billing processes and ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for medical services provided. Your primary duties will include reviewing patient records, verifying insurance coverage, preparing and submitting claims, resolving billing discrepancies, and following up on outstanding payments. You will also work closely with medical coding teams, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to address any billing-related issues. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of healthcare billing practices, excellent attention to detail, proficiency in medical billing software, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Analyze and process inpatient billing claims accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure all coding and documentation meet regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Review patient accounts for accuracy and address any discrepancies.
  • Interact with insurance companies and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues.
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as needed for inpatient services.
  • Work closely with medical coders and other healthcare staff to ensure proper billing procedures.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances to facilitate timely payments.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and address any billing inquiries or concerns.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to healthcare billing practices.
  • Collaborate with the billing team to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field.
  • Certification in medical coding and billing (e.g., CPC, CCS, or CCA).
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in healthcare billing and reimbursement.
  • Strong understanding of insurance verification, authorization, and claims processing procedures.
  • Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record systems.

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field.
  • Certification in medical coding and billing (e.g., CPC, CCS, or CCA).
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience in healthcare billing and reimbursement.
