As a key member of our organization, the Head of Valuation will be responsible for leading and managing the valuation team in conducting thorough analysis and assessments of various assets, investments, and financial instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and valuation methodologies, along with proven leadership skills to guide the team effectively. The Head of Valuation will play a crucial role in providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making, enhance financial reporting accuracy, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the valuation team, providing guidance and support on valuation methodologies and best practices.
  • Develop and implement valuation models and processes to ensure accurate and consistent valuations.
  • Conduct valuation analysis for a variety of assets, such as real estate, securities, and businesses.
  • Review and approve valuation reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as finance, legal, and risk management teams, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Stay current on industry trends and regulations related to valuation practices to ensure the team remains knowledgeable and compliant.
  • Provide training and mentorship to valuation team members to enhance their skills and professional development.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external valuation vendors and partners to support business needs.
  • Participate in meetings and presentations with clients to discuss valuation findings and recommendations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline valuation processes and enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
  • Professional certification such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or ASA (Accredited Senior Appraiser).
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in valuation, financial analysis, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of valuation methodologies and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
