Job Description

The Head of Supply Chain plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of the supply chain within an organization. Responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency, driving cost savings, and ensuring timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with a focus on procurement, logistics, and inventory management. Key duties include collaborating with suppliers to negotiate contracts, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, and leading a team of supply chain professionals. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to adapt to changing market conditions. A Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field is typically required, along with several years of experience in a supply chain leadership role.


Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Leading the sourcing and selection of suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships.
  • Monitoring and analyzing supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Establishing and maintaining efficient distribution networks to meet customer demand and service expectations.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as product development and sales teams, to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to supply chain management.
  • Developing and mentoring a high-performing supply chain team, providing guidance and support to drive team success.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to enhance supply chain processes and systems.
  • Managing risk within the supply chain, including developing contingency plans and implementing strategies to mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement.
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in supply chain software and systems.
