GRP Laminator

Job Responsibilities:

Preparation of Materials: Prepare and mix resin, hardeners, and other materials required for the lamination process.

Lamination Process: Apply layers of glass fiber to molds or surfaces, ensuring an even distribution of resin and proper bonding of materials.

Mold Setup: Set up and prepare molds for lamination, ensuring that surfaces are clean and ready for material application.

Trimming and Finishing: Trim and finish the laminated products, ensuring that they meet specifications and quality standards.

Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects or imperfections, ensuring they meet the required quality standards.

Health and Safety: Follow proper safety procedures when handling materials and operating equipment, such as wearing protective gear and ensuring proper ventilation.

Maintenance: Maintain equipment and tools used in the lamination process, reporting any malfunctions or needed repairs.

Documentation: Maintain records of production, including materials used, quantities, and any defects or issues encountered during the process.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Previous experience in GRP laminating, composite manufacturing, or a similar field is often required.

Knowledge of Materials: Understanding of the properties of glass fiber, resins, and hardeners, and how they interact in the lamination process.

Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision, ensuring the quality of the finished product.

Physical Stamina: The ability to work in physically demanding environments, including standing for long periods and lifting materials.

Safety Awareness: Knowledge of and commitment to health and safety practices.
