Forklift Operator

A Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, load, and unload materials within warehouses, factories, or construction sites. This role ensures that goods are transported properly and placed in designated areas while following safety and operational guidelines. The ideal candidate should have experience operating various types of forklifts, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently

• Load and unload goods from trucks, shelves, or storage areas

• Transport materials to designated locations within the facility

• Inspect forklifts daily to ensure they are in proper working condition

• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and deliveries

• Follow all safety procedures and report any mechanical issues or hazards

• Stack and organize goods to optimize storage space and accessibility

• Assist in warehouse operations, including packaging and labeling when needed

• Conduct routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues

• Ensure compliance with company policies and warehouse regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or industrial setting

• Valid forklift operator certification or license

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and safety regulations

• Ability to operate different types of forklifts, including counterbalance and reach trucks

• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions

• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking are a plus

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts if required
