Food Safety and Hygiene Officer

Job Description:

• The duties and responsibilities of the Food Safety and Hygiene in Charge encompass a comprehensive range of tasks ensuring food safety standards are followed, including evaluating and approving suppliers.
• Keeps updated records of approved suppliers, creating and correcting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), monitor receiving of foodstuff supply and following up on product and customer complaints.
• Conducts random and daily monitoring of all processes that food safety protocols are followed and observed. Documents standard procedure for traceability purposes, analyze stock flows, implements annual SOP reviews, keeping company food safety manuals updated, enforce its protocols and performs daily warehouse inspections with corrective action plans.
• Arrange and facilitate staff food safety training and medical checks schedule, manage vehicle inspection and cleaning schedules, conducts maintenance audits and schedule repairs if needed. Oversees Jolt application back-end processes, documentations and conducts training sessions.
• Performs various food safety audits and implement corrective actions accordingly including attendance for Dubai Municipality and customer audits in the facility.
• Ensures adequate stock of cleaning chemicals and equipment and coordinates with the pest control provider for pest treatment schedule.
• Ensures that HACCP & ISO Implementation and Food Safety Reporting Scheme are fully adhered.
