Job Description

The fire alarm maintenance supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire alarm systems to ensure they function effectively and comply with safety regulations. This role involves managing a team of technicians, coordinating maintenance schedules, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in fire alarm systems, experience in troubleshooting faults, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. They must also stay updated with local fire safety codes and ensure all systems are in compliance.


Responsibilities:

  • supervise the maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance

  • develop and implement maintenance schedules and service plans to prevent system failures

  • lead a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations

  • troubleshoot and diagnose issues with fire alarm systems and ensure timely resolution

  • ensure compliance with local fire safety codes, NFPA standards, and manufacturer guidelines

  • coordinate with clients and internal teams to schedule inspections and maintenance work

  • maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service reports, and compliance documentation

  • manage inventory of spare parts and ensure the availability of necessary equipment for maintenance

  • respond to emergency repair requests and ensure minimal downtime of fire alarm systems

  • stay updated with the latest advancements in fire alarm technology and recommend system upgrades when necessary


Requirements:

  • diploma or bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, or fire protection engineering

  • minimum 5-7 years of experience in fire alarm system maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

  • strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, control panels, detectors, and troubleshooting methods

  • familiarity with NFPA codes, UAE fire safety regulations, and industry best practices

  • proven experience in managing a team of technicians and coordinating maintenance activities

  • excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing system issues

  • ability to read and interpret fire alarm system schematics and technical manuals

  • strong communication skills to interact with clients, vendors, and team members effectively

  • proficiency in using fire alarm testing equipment and maintenance management software

  • valid UAE driving license is preferred
