Job Description

The Finance Assistant will support day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, invoice processing, and expense tracking, within a fast-paced UAE-based corporate or commercial environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role helps ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with UAE financial regulations and company policies. The Finance Assistant plays a key role in supporting audits, maintaining vendor records, and managing internal documentation for VAT and other statutory requirements under UAE law.


Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices, staff expense claims, and petty cash reimbursements in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly financial reports, account reconciliations, and general ledger entries.

  • Monitoring accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded and reconciled with supporting documentation.

  • Maintaining accurate records of VAT transactions in compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.

  • Assisting with internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and financial data.

  • Supporting payroll processing and ensuring accurate calculation of benefits and deductions as per UAE labor law.

  • Liaising with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve billing and payment queries.

  • Helping maintain organized and secure financial files and supporting documentation for compliance purposes.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting support role, preferably within the UAE.

  • Working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and basic financial compliance standards.

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems like SAP.

  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas, pivot tables, and basic financial modeling.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities for managing multiple tasks.

  • Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.

  • Understanding of UAE labor and tax regulations related to financial operations is preferred
