Field Telecom Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Field Telecom Engineer to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunication systems and networks. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in telecom infrastructure, networking, and wireless communication systems. This role requires frequent travel to different sites for system setup, repair, and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including fiber optics, VoIP, and wireless networks.
• Conduct site surveys to assess signal strength, coverage, and network performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues in the field.
• Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on telecommunication systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with network engineers, technicians, and clients to address technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Document technical procedures, system configurations, and issue resolutions.
• Provide technical support and training to on-site personnel and end-users.
• Work with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary telecom equipment and materials.
• Stay up to date with the latest telecommunication technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in field telecommunications, network installations, or RF engineering.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optics, VoIP systems, wireless networks, and mobile communication technologies.
• Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, VoIP, etc.) and troubleshooting tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Physical ability to work in outdoor environments, climb towers, and lift equipment.
• Willingness to travel frequently to different locations and work flexible hours.
