Position Overview:

The Facility Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all company facilities. This role involves overseeing building systems, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that the physical workplace environment supports the needs of the business. The Facility Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure that the facilities meet regulatory requirements, safety standards, and are optimized for operational efficiency.



Key Responsibilities: 


- Facility Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of all company facilities, ensuring that they are maintained in a clean, safe, and efficient manner.

- Maintenance and Repairs: Schedule and supervise routine maintenance tasks, as well as handle emergency repairs. Manage preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend the life of facility assets.

- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for services such as cleaning, security, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work. Negotiate contracts and ensure services are delivered on time and within budget.

- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all facilities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards. Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

- Space Management: Optimize space utilization within the facilities, including office layouts, workspace design, and storage solutions. Plan for future space needs in line with business growth.

- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the facility management budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Ensure that all expenditures are aligned with company financial goals.

- Sustainability Initiatives: Implement and promote sustainable practices within the facilities, such as energy conservation, waste reduction, and water efficiency.

- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor facility staff, providing training and development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

- Crisis Management: Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans, including evacuation procedures, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.




Requirements

- Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Facility Manager or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of facility management best practices, building systems, and maintenance procedures.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and vendor management.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, vendors, and senior management.

Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.

Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
