Job Description
As an Estimation Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. You will work closely with the project team to analyze project plans and specifications, identify cost drivers, and develop comprehensive estimates. A successful candidate should have strong analytical and mathematical skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Analyze project requirements and identify cost drivers.
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.
- Evaluate and select materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain cost quotations.
- Prepare and submit proposals to clients.
- Conduct value engineering analysis to optimize costs.
- Monitor and track project costs against estimates.
- Prepare and present cost reports to management and clients.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in cost estimation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
