Job Description
The English Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering English language lessons to students. They create engaging lesson plans, teach grammar and vocabulary, improve students' conversational skills, and evaluate student progress. English Teachers provide a supportive and positive learning environment and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver English language lessons that align with curriculum objectives.
- Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that promote student participation and learning.
- Teach grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking skills to students.
- Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student progress.
- Provide feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their English language skills.
- Tailor lessons and teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Use educational technology and resources to enhance the learning experience.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student learning and development.
- Stay updated on best practices in English language teaching and incorporate new approaches and strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field.
- Teaching certification or qualification in ESL or TESOL is required.
- Proven experience as an English Teacher or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, and language skills.
- Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Adaptability and flexibility in teaching methods.
- Patience and empathy in working with students of different abilities and backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated on language teaching methodologies and resources.
