ELV-FIRE ALARM Technician

The ELV/FIRE ALARM Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic low voltage (ELV) and fire alarm systems. They will configure systems, test components, and ensure compliance with safety standards. The ELV/FIRE ALARM Technician must have technical expertise in electrical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install and program ELV systems, including CCTV, access control, and audiovisual systems.
• Mount and connect electrical hardware, devices, and components.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in ELV and fire alarm systems.
• Conduct system tests to ensure proper functionality and compliance.
• Assist in the commissioning and acceptance procedures of installed systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and other team members.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

• Diploma or apprenticeship in electrical or electronics engineering.
• Proven experience in installing and maintaining ELV and fire alarm systems.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
