EEG Technician

We are seeking a skilled EEG Technician to perform electroencephalograms (EEGs) and assist in diagnosing neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience operating EEG equipment, preparing patients for tests, and analyzing results under the supervision of a neurologist.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for EEG tests, explaining the procedure and ensuring comfort.
• Attach electrodes to the patient’s scalp and operate EEG equipment to record brain activity.
• Monitor and document patient responses during testing.
• Identify and eliminate any external factors affecting test accuracy.
• Assist neurologists by providing preliminary reports and observations.
• Maintain and calibrate EEG machines and related equipment.
• Ensure patient records and test results are accurately documented and stored securely.
• Follow hospital and medical regulations for patient safety and data confidentiality.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or certification in neurodiagnostic technology, EEG technology, or a related field.
• Prior experience as an EEG Technician is preferred.
• Knowledge of EEG procedures, equipment, and patient safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize abnormal readings.
• Good communication skills to interact with patients and medical teams.
• Ability to handle patients of all ages, including those with neurological conditions.
• Certification from a recognized body (such as ABRET) is an advantage.
