Director of Operations

The Director of Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing the overall business operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and strategic alignment with company goals. Based in the UAE, this senior role oversees cross-functional teams across departments such as supply chain, facilities, administration, and customer service. The Director of Operations ensures that daily operations run smoothly, identifies opportunities for improvement, and implements systems and processes to drive long-term operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Developing and executing operational strategies aligned with the company’s objectives.

• Overseeing the performance of various operational departments, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and high-quality output.

• Collaborating with executive leadership to set business goals and translate them into actionable operational plans.

• Leading process improvement initiatives to reduce costs, enhance productivity, and improve service delivery.

• Managing budgets, resource allocation, and key performance indicators (KPIs) across departments.

• Ensuring adherence to UAE regulatory standards and company policies across all operational areas.

• Building and maintaining relationships with vendors, clients, and key stakeholders.

• Identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to mitigate operational challenges.

• Coaching and developing departmental managers to foster leadership and team performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA is preferred.

• Minimum 10 years of experience in operations, including 5 years in a senior leadership role within the UAE or GCC.

• Proven track record of managing large teams and complex operational functions.

• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a focus on collaboration and innovation.

• Proficiency in ERP systems, data analytics tools, and operational performance software.

• In-depth knowledge of UAE market dynamics, compliance standards, and operational regulations.
