Job Description

As the Director of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage operations within a hospitality establishment. Your role will involve developing and implementing strategies to enhance the overall dining experience for guests, while ensuring profitability and sustainability of the department. You will lead a team of culinary and service staff, providing guidance and mentorship to drive excellence in customer service and quality standards. Key duties include menu planning and pricing, inventory management, budgeting, and maintaining high levels of sanitation and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food and beverage management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality experiences.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue and profit goals for the food and beverage department.
  • Oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, purchasing, inventory management, and cost control.
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of food and beverage staff, setting performance expectations and providing ongoing feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all food and beverage areas.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality products are sourced at competitive prices.
  • Create and manage budgets for the food and beverage department, monitoring expenses and maximizing profitability.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to drive revenue growth and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices, continually seeking ways to innovate and improve food and beverage offerings.
  • Plan and oversee special events, catering services, and promotional activities to drive sales and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities for food and beverage staff to enhance their skills and job performance.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in food and beverage management
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends and best practices
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven track record of driving revenue and managing budgets efficiently
