Job Description

As a Dining Facility (DFAC) Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a dining facility, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and customer service. You will supervise a team of kitchen staff, servers, and cleaners, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. Your duties will include creating work schedules, monitoring inventory levels, and managing food costs to maintain budget targets. Additionally, you will be expected to uphold health and safety regulations, conduct regular inspections, and address any issues promptly to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience in food service management, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the dining facility (DFAC) to ensure efficient service and high-quality food preparation.
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Train, schedule, and oversee dining facility staff members, including cooks, servers, and cleaners.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health codes and regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance customer service and dining experience.
  • Manage budget and expenses, working to minimize costs and achieve financial goals.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner, seeking to resolve issues to customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments or external vendors to coordinate events or special dining services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve dining facility operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in food service management or supervisory role.
  • Food Safety Manager Certification (e.g., ServSafe).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
