Job Description

The Design Coordinator – Interior Design plays a pivotal role in supporting and coordinating the creative and technical aspects of interior design projects from concept through to execution. This position involves working closely with the design team, architects, project managers, and clients to ensure design intent is maintained, deadlines are met, and documentation is accurate. The role demands a balance of creativity, organization, and communication skills to help bring design visions to life while aligning with project goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate interior design activities across different project phases, ensuring alignment with client objectives and timelines.

  • Assist in the development of design concepts, mood boards, material palettes, and presentations.

  • Prepare, organize, and update interior design drawings, specifications, and schedules.

  • Act as a liaison between the design team, consultants, suppliers, and contractors to ensure smooth workflow and communication.

  • Track project deliverables and deadlines, following up with internal and external stakeholders as needed.

  • Maintain sample libraries and stay up to date with current design trends, products, and materials.

  • Assist in quality control by reviewing site installations to ensure adherence to design intent.

  • Support in preparing documentation for authority approvals and tender processes.

  • Manage and archive all design-related documentation systematically.

  • Attend site meetings and design reviews, preparing minutes and follow-up action lists.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in an interior design or architectural firm.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office; Revit knowledge is an advantage.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Eye for detail and a solid understanding of interior design principles and materials.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of local authority regulations and building codes is a plus.
