Design Coordinator - Interior Design

The Design Coordinator - Interior Design position is a crucial role within our company, responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of interior design projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces, along with exceptional project management skills. Duties include collaborating with clients to understand their design needs and preferences, creating design concepts and presentations, sourcing materials and products, and managing project timelines and budgets. The Design Coordinator will also work closely with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure that projects are completed successfully and to the highest standards. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and creativity are essential for this role. A degree in interior design or a related field, along with previous experience in a similar role, is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients and interior designers to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Source and procure materials, furniture, and decor items for interior design projects.
• Create and update design presentations, mood boards, and drawings as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and installation of design elements.
• Assist in budget management and cost tracking for design projects.
• Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that may arise.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure design concepts are executed according to specifications.
• Ensure adherence to building codes, regulations, and industry standards throughout the design process.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to enhance the quality of design projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in interior design coordination.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong understanding of design principles and space planning.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
