Job Description

As a Design Coordinator specializing in Interior Design, you will be responsible for supporting the creation and execution of various design projects. Your main tasks will include assisting with concept development, space planning, material selection, and furniture sourcing. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your role will also involve coordinating site visits, managing project documentation, and communicating with clients to understand their needs and preferences. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for design, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A degree in Interior Design or a related field, along with relevant work experience, is typically required for this role.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with designers, architects, and clients to develop design concepts and space planning solutions.
  • Coordinate and manage interior design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
  • Select and source materials, furniture, fixtures, and finishes that meet project requirements and design vision.
  • Create detailed design drawings, specifications, and presentations for client approval.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to review project progress, address any issues, and ensure quality control.
  • Attend meetings with clients to present design proposals, gather feedback, and make necessary revisions.
  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and new materials to continually enhance design offerings.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and project schedules.
  • Support team members in various design tasks and provide guidance on design best practices.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop
  • Strong understanding of color theory, space planning, and furniture design
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Prior experience in coordinating design projects and managing timelines
