Data Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures across our UAE operations. This role will support data analytics, reporting, and machine learning efforts by ensuring data availability, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL processes from diverse data sources

• Build and maintain data architecture to support business intelligence and advanced analytics

• Work closely with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and monitoring

• Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions and implement best practices in data modeling

• Collaborate with DevOps and cloud engineering teams for data deployment and pipeline automation

• Integrate APIs, third-party data sources, and real-time streaming data into internal systems

• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot data-related issues

• Maintain documentation for data processes, architecture, and workflows

• Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, UAE data laws), and security standards

  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt)

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP)

• Strong knowledge of data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and relational/noSQL databases

• Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi)

• Solid understanding of data modeling, API integrations, and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka)

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD for data workflows

• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills

• Based in or willing to relocate to the UAE; experience in regional data environments is a plus
