Cybersecurity Analyst

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our IT security team. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be responsible for safeguarding our organization's digital assets and infrastructure against cyber threats. You will play a crucial role in monitoring security events, responding to incidents, and implementing security measures to protect our systems and data

Responsibilities:

• Threat Detection and Analysis: Monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to identify and analyze potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Incident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents, breaches, and unauthorized access attempts. Mitigate the impact of incidents and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
• Security Monitoring: Utilize security information and event management (SIEM) tools to detect and analyze security events in real-time. Take appropriate action based on threat intelligence.
• Vulnerability Management: Identify and assess vulnerabilities in systems, applications, and networks. Coordinate and apply patches, updates, and security fixes to mitigate risks.
• Intrusion Detection and Prevention: Deploy and manage intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) to identify and block malicious activities and unauthorized access.
• Security Policies and Procedures: Develop, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Security Awareness: Educate employees about cybersecurity best practices, social engineering risks, and data protection measures.
• Security Audits and Assessments: Conduct regular security audits, assessments, and penetration testing to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and identify weaknesses.
• Data Protection: Implement data encryption, access controls, and authentication mechanisms to safeguard sensitive information.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents, investigations, procedures, and configurations.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or similar role.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
• Proficiency in security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM.
• Knowledge of networking protocols, operating systems, and application security.
• Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to analyze security data and incidents.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent, are a plus.
• Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic or other languages may be advantageous for certain roles.
