Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Culinary Coordinator to support our kitchen operations, culinary programs, and food service events. This role involves coordinating menu planning, inventory management, and ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate should have a passion for food, strong administrative skills, and the ability to collaborate with chefs, suppliers, and service staff to maintain high culinary standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in menu planning and recipe development in collaboration with chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Coordinate food production schedules to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals.
  • Manage inventory levels, order kitchen supplies, and monitor food costs to minimize waste.
  • Support food safety and hygiene practices by ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in organizing culinary events, cooking demonstrations, and special promotions.
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers to source quality ingredients at competitive prices.
  • Maintain accurate records of kitchen operations, including inventory logs and food cost reports.
  • Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless coordination between kitchen and service teams.
  • Train and support kitchen staff on new menu items, kitchen procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Address operational challenges, troubleshoot kitchen issues, and provide solutions to improve efficiency.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a culinary coordination, kitchen management, or hospitality role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage various kitchen operations efficiently.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen best practices, and inventory control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with chefs, vendors, and staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and restaurant management software.
  • Passion for the culinary industry and a commitment to maintaining high food quality standards.
