As a Cost Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the financial health and profitability of the company. You will be responsible for monitoring, controlling, and analyzing costs to ensure they are in line with the budget and overall financial goals of the organization. Your role will require strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of financial principles and cost management techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost control processes and procedures
- Monitor and track expenses to ensure they are within the approved budget
- Review financial data and identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements
- Collaborate with various departments to analyze costs and provide recommendations to reduce expenditures
- Continuously monitor and report on cost performance to senior management
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with cost control processes and procedures
- Prepare financial reports and presentations to support decision-making processes
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and terms for materials and services
- Analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends and make accurate cost predictions
- Participate in the development and maintenance of financial budgets and forecasts
- Train and support staff on cost control processes and best practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost control or a similar financial role
- In-depth understanding of financial principles and cost management techniques
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in managing and analyzing large and complex data sets
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Experience in conducting audits and implementing process improvements is preferred
