Cost Control Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing the entire QS & Cost Control department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project requirements.  
• Formulating zero-based budgets and presenting them for management approval, facilitating informed decision-making.  
• Decomposing project costs into manageable components for effective tracking  and monitoring of financial performance.  
• Establishing a robust cost baseline to measure the financial health of projects, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.  
• Conducting continuous monitoring of actual expenditures against the established baseline, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions.  
• Performing detailed analysis of cost variances, pinpointing root causes and recommending strategies for improvement.  
• Updating financial forecasts to provide accurate estimates of project completion costs, enhancing financial transparency.  
• Generating comprehensive cost reports for management, including variance analysis, forecasting updates, and risk assessments.

Qualifications/Requirements

• 18–20 years of experience in cost control within the UAE construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering.
• Extensive understanding of the construction project lifecycle, cost drivers, and industry-specific risks.
• Advanced knowledge of project management and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Expertise in budgeting, cost analysis, and variance analysis.
