Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Radiologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting and diagnosing various medical images to assist in patient treatment and care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology with a specialization in areas such as MRI, CT scans, ultrasounds, and X-rays. You will be required to work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely reports on imaging findings. Strong communication skills and a dedication to patient care are essential for success in this role. The Consultant Radiologist will also be expected to stay current on advancements in the field of radiology and contribute to the overall growth and development of the department. Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze radiological images such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds to diagnose medical conditions accurately.
  • Consult with referring physicians to discuss imaging findings and collaborate on patient treatment plans.
  • Perform interventional procedures such as biopsies, drainages, and image-guided injections under imaging guidance.
  • Provide timely and accurate written reports of imaging studies for patient medical records.
  • Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and techniques through continuing education and professional development.
  • Supervise and train radiologic technologists and other staff members in imaging procedures and safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance and safety standards in the radiology department.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute expertise to patient care decisions.


Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Radiology.
  • Completion of a Radiology residency program.
  • Fellowship training in a subspecialty of Radiology is preferred.
  • Valid state medical license.
