Consultant Ophthalmologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage diseases and disorders of the eye and visual system.

• Perform surgical and non-surgical procedures as required.

• Provide consultation services and treatment planning for patients.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for integrated patient care.

• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and ophthalmic technicians.

• Stay updated with advancements in ophthalmic techniques and treatments.

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

• Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuous medical education programs.

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility protocols.

• Educate patients about eye care and preventive measures.

Requirements

• Medical degree and specialization in Ophthalmology.

• Valid license or eligibility to practice in the UAE.

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience, with consultant-level practice.

• Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions.

• Expertise in ophthalmic surgery is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient management skills.

• Strong commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional development.

• Experience in a multicultural healthcare environment is a plus.
