Computer Technician

We are currently seeking a Hardware and Networking Specialist to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT hardware, networking, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth and efficient IT operations.

Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, networking devices, and IT infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, network connectivity, and system performance.
Perform regular hardware and software upgrades, ensuring the latest versions and patches are installed.
Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity or security issues proactively.
Set up and manage local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and virtual private networks (VPN).
Install and configure network routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Conduct regular system backups, data recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Provide technical support to internal teams and clients, diagnosing and resolving IT hardware or networking issues.
Maintain and update network doentation, including hardware and software inventories.
Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and network solutions.
Stay updated with the latest trends in IT hardware, networking, and security technologies.
Requirements:

Proven experience in hardware and networking support, with hands-on expertise in IT infrastructure setup and troubleshooting.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Experience with network security, firewalls, VPNs, and other cybersecurity protocols.
Proficient in configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
Familiarity with server hardware, storage solutions, and virtualization technologies.
Experience with troubleshooting operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and networking equipment.
Relevant certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff and clients.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services is a plus.
