Commis 3

The Commis 3 is an entry-level position within the kitchen brigade, responsible for assisting with basic food preparation and maintaining kitchen hygiene standards. Working under the supervision of senior chefs, the role supports daily kitchen operations by prepping ingredients, organizing workstation setups, and ensuring food safety practices are strictly followed. The candidate will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment that adheres to UAE food safety and hospitality regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with HACCP and UAE food safety standards.

• Supporting chefs in plating dishes and preparing mise en place for daily service.

• Ensuring the correct storage of food items and monitoring expiry dates.

• Handling kitchen equipment safely and reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns.

• Assisting in receiving and storing kitchen supplies and stock rotation.

• Following instructions from senior chefs and cooperating with the entire kitchen team.

• Participating in cleaning schedules to maintain hygiene and sanitation across the kitchen.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or culinary certification from a recognized institution is preferred.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably within the UAE hospitality sector.

• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards.

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to follow instructions precisely.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
