Commercial Manager

Job duties and responsibilities

·       Coordinating in overall administration and project execution plans with Sub-contractors, Project Team & Project Managers

·       Capable of preparing bills or schedules of quantities for services required in the construction of building or engineering works.

·       Preparing statement of final account, summarizing the cost charges that have occurred and arriving at a final contract.

·       Analyzing sub-contractors’ terms and conditions for various risks such as ambiguities, conflicts, or deviations from the scope of work

·       Monitoring various site activities/ work proceeds and suggesting the Site Manager on remedies for mitigating the risks involved

·       Planning costs in coordination with the members of the design team for arriving at practical solutions and staying within the project budget and contract guidelines.

·       Providing cash flow data to enable the client to plan resources adequately to meet contract commitments.

·       Valuing the work carried out each month and submitting a recommendation for certified payment after deciding on how much of a job should be paid for at any one time.

·       Managing the tendering process from floating of bids to awarding of contracts; coordinating with contractors regarding techno-commercial negotiations

·       Tracking all the abnormal costs/ wastage, preparing comparative statements, conducting tender interviews, and recommending measures to avoid them.

·       Enabling each contractor to calculate tender prices fairly (based on Schedules of quantities), on exactly the same basis as the competitors.

·       Notify and maintain the Performance/Advance Guarantee valid until the proper delivery of contract and discharge.

Job qualifications/requirements:

·       Candidates should possess at least 18 - 20 years of experience working in a similar position.

Preferably candidates with experience working with main contractors
