Job Description

A clinical psychologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders using a variety of psychological techniques and therapies. They work with individuals, couples, families, and groups to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological challenges. Clinical psychologists use evidence-based approaches to help clients improve their mental health and well-being while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans. This role requires strong analytical skills, empathy, and the ability to build trust with clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments, evaluations, and diagnostic interviews to understand client conditions.

  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on psychological principles and therapeutic techniques.

  • Provide therapy sessions using methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychoanalysis, or humanistic approaches.

  • Help clients manage mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and personality disorders.

  • Offer counseling and support to individuals dealing with life challenges, including grief, relationship issues, or trauma.

  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals for holistic care.

  • Conduct research and stay updated on the latest developments in clinical psychology.

  • Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

  • Educate clients, families, and communities about mental health awareness and coping strategies.


Requirements:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.

  • DHA Licensed to practice as a clinical psychologist .

  • Proven experience in providing psychological therapy and counseling.

  • Strong understanding of psychological theories, therapeutic techniques, and mental health disorders.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to establish rapport and maintain professional boundaries with clients.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

  • Experience in crisis intervention and trauma counseling is a plus.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation practices.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical guidelines.
