Civil Structural Designer - Oil and Gas (Onshore)

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Structural Designer to join our team in the Oil and Gas industry, focusing specifically on Onshore projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings and models for various civil and structural components within onshore facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Duties will include collaborating with engineers and project managers to develop conceptual designs, conducting site visits to gather necessary information, and utilizing CAD software to produce accurate and thorough construction documents. The successful candidate must have a strong background in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on oil and gas projects. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. A degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required, along with 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil and structural design drawings and specifications for onshore oil and gas projects.
• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations in all design work.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to coordinate design activities and ensure project requirements are met.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations to support design decisions.
• Review and approve vendor drawings and documents for civil and structural components.
• Participate in project meetings to provide technical input and support project progress.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess construction progress and quality.
• Prepare material take-offs and cost estimates for civil and structural work.
• Assist in the preparation of construction bid packages and support the procurement process.
• Provide technical support during construction activities and resolve any civil or structural design issues that may arise.
