Civil Estimating Engineer

A Civil Estimating Engineer is responsible for accurately estimating the costs and materials required for civil engineering projects. They work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to develop bids and proposals for construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing project plans and specifications
• Calculating costs for labor, materials, and equipment
• Developing accurate estimates for construction projects
• Conduct site visits and gather necessary information for cost estimation.
• Analyze historical cost data and industry benchmarks to establish accurate pricing for materials and services.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals for clients.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative approaches to improve project profitability.
• Preparing bids and proposals
• Collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate estimates
• Assessing potential risks and opportunities in projects

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Proven experience as an Estimating Engineer in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
