Job Description
The Chiller Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of chillers, including air-conditioning and refrigeration systems. They must diagnose and troubleshoot problems, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure the efficient operation of the chillers. The Chiller Technician also needs to have strong knowledge of electrical systems and refrigeration principles.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission chiller systems, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on chillers to identify any faults or issues.
- Repair and replace faulty components or parts in the chillers.
- Conduct tests and measurements to assess the performance and efficiency of the chillers.
- Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns promptly.
- Keep accurate records of all work done, including repairs and maintenance performed.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to customers regarding chiller systems.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot complex problems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in HVAC or refrigeration.
- Proven experience as a chiller technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and refrigeration principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
