Job Description

The Chief Business Development Officer  is responsible for driving the strategic growth of the organization by identifying new opportunities, expanding into new markets, and fostering key partnerships. This leadership role involves working closely with the executive team to align business development initiatives with overall company goals. The CBDO plays a central part in enhancing revenue streams, boosting brand presence, and guiding the company through its next phase of expansion and innovation.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the company’s business development strategy, in alignment with corporate goals and growth targets

  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, potential partnerships, and areas for expansion

  • Lead negotiations for major deals, strategic alliances, and joint ventures

  • Build and manage a high-performing business development team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, finance, and product teams to drive revenue-generating initiatives

  • Analyze industry trends, customer data, and competitive intelligence to inform decision-making

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility

  • Monitor and report on business development performance metrics and key KPIs

  • Provide strategic input to the executive team and support in developing long-term business plans


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or corporate strategy, with at least 5 years in an executive-level role

  • Proven experience in securing and managing high-value deals, partnerships, or business expansions

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and mentoring large cross-functional teams

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, financial modeling, and growth strategies

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, results-oriented environments and make data-driven decisions

  • Willingness to travel as needed based on business requirements
