The Chief Business Development Officer is responsible for driving business growth, expanding market presence, and establishing strategic partnerships to enhance the company's revenue and profitability. This leadership role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing high-impact growth strategies, and overseeing key client relationships. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, extensive experience in business development, and a track record of successfully scaling businesses in competitive markets.
Responsibilities:
develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion
identify new business opportunities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and product diversification
establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry leaders
oversee market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and business opportunities
lead negotiations for major contracts, partnerships, and high-value deals
collaborate with internal teams to align business development initiatives with company goals
drive innovation by identifying new revenue streams and optimizing existing business models
provide strategic guidance to sales and marketing teams to enhance brand positioning and market share
monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust business strategies to ensure targets are met
represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
Requirements:
bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field
10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or corporate strategy, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
proven track record of driving business growth and establishing successful partnerships
strong financial acumen and ability to analyze market trends, forecasts, and business performance metrics
excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
experience in managing cross-functional teams and working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
proficiency in business development tools, CRM software, and data analytics platforms
fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage
ability to travel as needed for business meetings and industry events
