Cashier

The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing sales and customer transactions in a retail or hospitality setting. This role involves handling cash and credit card payments, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. The Cashier must have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide a positive shopping experience.

• Calculate and provide correct change to customers.
• Maintain cash registers and ensure accurate cash balances at the end of each shift.
• Scan and bag items for customers.
• Provide information and assistance to customers.
• Answer customer inquiries and resolve issues or complaints.
• Keep the checkout area clean and well-organized.
• Upsell or promote products or services when appropriate.
• Follow company policies and procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role.
• Strong numerical and math skills.
