Carpenter

A Carpenter is responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and other materials. The role requires skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail in order to meet project requirements and specifications. Carpenters may work on a variety of projects including constructing buildings, installing cabinetry, and repairing furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Measure and cut materials to specified dimensions for construction projects.
• Install structures and fixtures such as windows, doors, cabinets, and furniture.
• Follow blueprints and building plans to meet project requirements.
• Repair or replace damaged wood structures and fixtures.
• Inspect and replace worn or damaged tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project success.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to building codes and regulations.
• Provide estimates and quotes for construction projects.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project managers.
• Work efficiently and effectively to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of woodworking tools and equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and building plans.
• Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
