Carpenter

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to handle maintenance tasks, carpentry work, and basic electrical jobs for our retail stores. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in carpentry and maintenance, basic knowledge of electrical systems, and the ability to perform repair work efficiently. A valid driving license is required for this role, as it involves traveling between retail store locations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carpentry Work:

- Perform repair, installation, and maintenance in retail stores as per store requirements.

- Carry out minor woodwork adjustments and refurbishments.

2. Maintenance Tasks:

- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of store facilities to ensure they are in good condition.

- Address minor plumbing and hardware issues as needed.

3. Electrical Work:

- Perform basic electrical repairs, such as replacing light fixtures, switches, and wiring.

- Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical problems safely.

4. General Duties:

- Respond promptly to maintenance and repair requests from retail store managers.

- Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are maintained and accounted for.

- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations during all tasks.

- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

5. Driving Responsibilities:

- Travel to various retail store locations to perform maintenance tasks.

- Ensure the company vehicle is maintained and operated safely.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience in carpentry, maintenance, and basic electrical work.

- Knowledge of tools, materials, and techniques used in carpentry and general maintenance.

- Familiarity with basic electrical systems and repair work.

- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Valid driving license with a clean driving record ( mandatory ).

- Strong communication and time-management skills.

- Physically fit to handle heavy lifting and extended periods of manual work.

- Certification or vocational training in carpentry or electrical work.

- Experience working in a retail environment.
