Cargo Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cargo Operations Coordinator to oversee and manage the daily operations of cargo shipments. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient handling, loading, documentation, and transportation of goods while complying with company standards and international regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing cargo shipments and ensure timely processing

• Communicate with freight forwarders, airlines, customs, and logistics partners

• Prepare and verify shipping documentation including air waybills, invoices, and cargo manifests

• Monitor the loading and unloading of cargo to ensure proper handling and storage

• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., IATA, ICAO, customs)

• Track shipments and provide status updates to clients and internal teams

• Handle cargo irregularities, delays, or damage reports efficiently

• Maintain accurate records of cargo movement and inventory

• Support operational improvements and cost control initiatives

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics or supply chain is a plus

• Prior experience in cargo handling, freight, or logistics operations is preferred

• Strong understanding of cargo documentation and handling procedures

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Proficient in using cargo systems and Microsoft Office Suite

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment

• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed
