Job Description
A Cardiologist is a medical doctor who specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions of the cardiovascular system. They analyze patient medical histories, perform physical examinations, and conduct diagnostic tests to evaluate heart health. Cardiologists provide treatment recommendations and work closely with patients to improve their cardiovascular health.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient medical histories and perform physical examinations.
- Order and analyze diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms and echocardiograms.
- Diagnose and treat various cardiovascular conditions and diseases.
- Prescribe medications and advise lifestyle changes to manage heart health.
- Perform interventional procedures such as angioplasty or pacemaker implantation.
