Biology Teacher

The Biology Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and curriculum-aligned instruction in biological sciences to students at the secondary or higher secondary level. This role includes planning lessons, conducting laboratory activities, assessing student performance, and promoting scientific curiosity in a classroom environment that aligns with UAE educational standards. The teacher plays a vital role in preparing students for academic success while fostering critical thinking and ethical scientific inquiry.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and delivering comprehensive biology lessons in accordance with the school curriculum and UAE education authority guidelines.

• Preparing and supervising laboratory experiments to enhance students’ practical understanding of biological concepts.

• Creating lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to evaluate student performance and progress.

• Incorporating digital tools, models, and visual aids to make complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging.

• Maintaining a safe and well-organized laboratory environment that complies with health and safety regulations.

• Encouraging student participation in science fairs, projects, and extracurricular learning opportunities.

• Providing academic support and mentorship to students with varying levels of ability and interest.

• Collaborating with colleagues, school administrators, and parents to support student development and school initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or Science Education; a teaching qualification such as B.Ed. or PGCE is required.

• Minimum of 2–4 years of teaching experience, preferably in the UAE or an international school environment.

• Familiarity with British, American ,UAE Ministry of Education curricula.

• Strong command of scientific content and ability to simplify complex biological concepts for young learners.

• Proficiency in using educational technology and interactive teaching tools.

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
