BIM Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior BIM Civil Engineer to lead and manage BIM processes and digital delivery for civil projects. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in Revit for civil works and a strong understanding of BIM standards, coordination workflows, and model management. Experience in Tekla Structures is preferred.

Responsibilities

· Lead the development, coordination, and management of Civil BIM models using Revit.

· Ensure compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP), MIDPs, and company BIM standards.

· Coordinate civil models with other disciplines (Architecture, Structural, MEP) in a Common Data Environment (CDE).

· Prepare and validate construction-ready models (LOD 300–LOD 400).

· Generate construction documents, shop drawings, and quantity take-offs from the BIM model.

· Develop custom Revit families and parametric components as needed.

· Participate in interdisciplinary clash detection, issue tracking, and resolution using Navisworks or similar tools.

· Support BIM automation tasks using Dynamo, scripts, or BIM add-ins. (Preferred)

· Collaborate with internal teams to drive BIM excellence across civil scope.

Key Skills & Competencies;

· Expert-level knowledge in Autodesk Revit (Civil/BIM applications).

· Familiarity with civil modeling (roads, grading, retaining walls, site development).

· Strong understanding of BIM standards.

· Proficient in Navisworks, BIM 360 / ACC, and Civil 3D (preferred).

· Tekla Structures is preferred.

· Ability to interpret and create construction drawings, details, and specifications.

· Strong documentation and project coordination skills.

· Experience working in federated models, worksets, and linked files.

· Familiarity with Quantity Take-Off from models using schedules or add-ons.

· Excellent communication skills, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM with at least 3 years as a Senior BIM role.

· Autodesk Civil 3D (optional but preferred)

· Navisworks Manage

· Dynamo for Revit (optional but preferred)

· BIM 360 / ACC (optional but preferred)

· Tekla Structures (optional)

· MS Excel / Power BI for reporting
