BIM Architect

The BIM Architect will play a critical role in the design and execution of architectural projects by utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) to produce accurate, data-rich models. Based within a multidisciplinary design or construction firm in the UAE, this role ensures that all architectural documentation meets local building codes, project standards, and coordination requirements. The BIM Architect collaborates with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure streamlined workflows, clash detection, and digital construction accuracy in accordance with UAE regulations and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities:

• Creating and managing detailed BIM models for architectural design using Revit and other BIM tools.

• Coordinating architectural models with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure consistency and resolve design conflicts.

• Preparing high-quality drawings, schedules, and construction documents as per UAE authority standards (e.g., Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi DMT).

• Ensuring compliance with UAE building codes, sustainability regulations (e.g., Estidama, Al Sa’fat), and project specifications.

• Supporting the design team in concept development and translating design intent into accurate 3D models and documentation.

• Participating in design coordination meetings and providing clash detection analysis and model updates.

• Assisting in the implementation of BIM execution plans, workflows, and standards for project teams.

• Collaborating with BIM Managers to optimize workflows and maintain model integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in architectural design with a focus on BIM-based workflows, preferably within the UAE.

• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related BIM software.

• Strong understanding of UAE building codes, permitting processes, and authority submission requirements.

• Knowledge of LEED, Estidama, and other regional green building standards is advantageous.

• Familiarity with BIM coordination, clash detection, and common data environments (CDEs).

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and manage multiple project deadlines.

• Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage for dealing with local consultants and authorities.
