Bank Teller

The Bank Teller is responsible for handling daily banking transactions while providing excellent customer service in a professional and secure environment. This role includes processing deposits, withdrawals, and payments, as well as assisting customers with account-related inquiries. Working in line with UAE banking regulations and security protocols, the teller ensures all financial transactions are accurate, compliant, and efficiently executed.

Responsibilities:

• Processing cash and non-cash transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, cheque clearances, and utility payments.

• Verifying customer identities and ensuring compliance with KYC (Know Your Customer) and anti-money laundering regulations.

• Balancing cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift, reconciling discrepancies if any.

• Educating customers about bank products, services, and digital banking options.

• Responding to customer inquiries and resolving transactional issues in a timely and courteous manner.

• Referring complex banking needs to relationship officers or relevant departments.

• Maintaining accurate transaction records and documentation for audits and compliance purposes.

• Ensuring all operations follow Central Bank of the UAE regulations and internal control policies.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• 1–3 years of experience in a teller or cashier role, preferably within the UAE banking sector.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.

• Proficiency in using banking software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain confidentiality.

• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.

• Familiarity with UAE Central Bank compliance standards and procedures.
