AV Technician

We are seeking a skilled AV Technician to join our team and provide technical support for audiovisual systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining AV equipment for various events and presentations. Duties include troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring proper functioning of equipment, and coordinating with event organizers to meet their audiovisual needs. The AV Technician will also be involved in system integration, equipment installation, and supporting live events. The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of audiovisual technology, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate audiovisual equipment for events and meetings.
• Ensure all audio and visual components are working properly before each event.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with audio and visual equipment as they arise.
• Coordinate with event organizers to understand their audiovisual needs.
• Work with clients to provide technical support and guidance during events.
• Maintain inventory of audiovisual equipment and ensure it is properly stored and maintained.
• Assist in the planning and execution of audiovisual setups for various events.
• Stay current with technological advancements in audiovisual equipment and recommend upgrades as needed.
• Collaborate with other technical staff to ensure seamless integration of audiovisual systems.
• Provide training to staff or clients on how to use audiovisual equipment effectively.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in audiovisual technology or related field preferred
• Proficiency in operating audiovisual equipment such as projectors, screens, sound systems, and cameras
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
