Automation Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join our QA team and take a leading role in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software releases through efficient and reliable automated testing processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on experience in test automation tools, and a solid understanding of software development and testing principles. The candidate should be able to work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure product reliability and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts to support regression and functional testing across web and mobile applications

• Collaborate with developers and QA analysts to identify test scenarios and develop comprehensive test plans

• Perform code reviews of test scripts to ensure best practices and maintainability in test automation projects

• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent quality in software delivery

• Analyze test results, log defects, and track them to closure by working closely with the development team

• Continuously evaluate test processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency and coverage

• Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies to align testing efforts with development cycles

• Generate and maintain detailed test documentation, including test strategies, reports, and logs

• Stay current with new testing tools, strategies, and industry trends to keep automation practices up to date

• Support performance and load testing as needed, ensuring systems perform efficiently under expected workloads

Requirements:

• Proven experience in automation testing with strong proficiency in tools such as Selenium, or similar frameworks

• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript for writing robust test scripts

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms for test integration

• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner

• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Experience with performance testing tools is a plus
