Automation Test Engineer

As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the high quality of software applications. Your main duty will be to identify issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks early in the development process by creating and maintaining automated test suites. You will work closely with the development and quality assurance teams to understand project requirements and implement effective testing strategies. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software development, proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby, and experience with automation tools like Selenium or Appium. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering high-quality software are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated testing strategies and frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Write automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Postman, or similar.
• Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects and performance issues.
• Collaborate with software developers and QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to provide testing insights and feedback.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Conduct regression testing to verify the quality of software releases.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in test environments and escalate defects as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and tools in automation testing.
• Continuously improve testing processes and practices to enhance overall product quality.
